God is present in our lives? Do you believe it? Check out some of these Bible Verses to see what they say about God being present. Psalm 145 Look at verse 18 Joshua 1 Look at verse 9 1 Corinthians 3 Look at verse 16 There are many more. Since God created us, He has desired to be present in our lives. God remains present even when we deny Him or refuse Him, but He honors our request to leave us alone and allows us to suffer consequences. In fact the evil that exists today is in part due to the consequences of many of us rejecting God.
We believe that many reject God because they don't trust God or believe that He is real. We believe that God calls us to counter this by being present in the lives of our neighbors as His representatives. As we live day by day with our neighbors revealing God's love, they will come to know and see God through us. We believe that recognizing God's presence is so important we dedicate 25% of our events to being present in our community. We believe that by being intentionally present on God's behalf that we are in fact worshiping and honoring God. We believe that this is so important that we want to make sure that we learn how to be present in the lives of others by doing it together as a community of believers. Together we have more courage. Then in our daily lives we will be better able to be present in the lives of those around us. When we do this, God is glorified and made known. When we are present and living like Jesus the truth of God's love is revealed.
Every month our Family Groups gather to invite their neighbors and friends to join them for fun or adventure. A community event might consist of a picnic, float trip, fishing, sports event, game night, movie night, or sitting around a campfire. The purpose of our community events is to give us opportunity to invite our friends so they can experience how we live life and so that together we can learn how to engage and build connections with others.
Many who have followed Christ for extended periods of time, become bored or restless. We believe this is because they aren't active in community in making God present. Living life with each other as representatives of God is an exciting and enriching time.
