Our primary goal as a church is to give our community hope, health, and healing. We will do this by revealing God's presence and His blessings.
You will soon discover that our church is a little different. We don't meet on Sunday mornings. We don't meet in a church building every week to hear a sermon and sing songs. But what we do every week is focus on worshiping God, reflecting Jesus in our lives, and living within the power of the Holy Spirit. (Yeah, I know. I just used some religious jargon.)
What it boils down to is that as a church we work to make sure that when we gather that we focus on loving God with everything we have and loving our neighbors as we love ourselves.
We believe that the Bible contains awesome stories and instructions of how we are to live. The Bible is perfectly suited for helping us know how to follow Jesus. It is through following Jesus that we gain eternal life.
Check out what the Bible says here in the book of Mark Chapter 12. 30 And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.’31 The second is this: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no other commandment greater than these.”
That pretty much sums it all up for how we operate as a church. Half of our time is focused on loving God. We gather together and we share stories of how God was present in our lives and how God blessed us or someone we know. The other half of our time is focused on loving our neighbors. We believe that God asks us to represent Him to our neighbors. That means that when we spend time with our neighbors representing God, that he is there. It means that when we spend time blessing our neighbors, that God is blessing them.
As a church we invite those who are seeking more information about Jesus, God, and anything else that just doesn't make sense God wise to hang out with us and when you are comfortable with us, shoot us some of your questions. We may not have all the answers, but we will work on finding them together.
As a church we also invite those who want to make a difference as a follower of Christ. What we offer is a church that believes that along with praising and worshiping God, that it is equally important to reveal our awesome God to our neighbors, by acting like Jesus. Check out our schedule and see what you think.
The first week of each month our Missional Communities gather to invite friends and neighbors to spend time with them. Activities will often include a BBQ, picnics, game nights, outdoor hobbies, anything else that interests a group of people and represents who we are in Jesus. The purpose is to represent God's desire to be present by learning to be present in the lives of our friends and neighbors.
The second week of each month everyone gathers together at a celebration service to reflect on what God has done and will do. We sing songs of praise and we stop to remember how Jesus sacrificed on our behalf. (I promise. It isn't that weird. Bring a friend. You will survive.)
The third week of each month our Missional Communities gather to serve our friends and neighbors. We invite our friends and neighbors to join us in serving others. It is a great opportunity to continue building relationships, but also to improve our community. The purpose is to represent God's desire to bless us.
The fourth week of each month everyone gathers again for another celebration service just like in the second week.
